For more than two decades WSKF Architects has served and helped shape the North Kansas City School District. WSKF designed a number of the district's new schools and handled a variety of renovation and addition projects. Elementary schools projects designed by WSKF include Linden West, Northview, and Crestview Elementary Schools. Middle schools projects include New Mark, Eastgate and Antioch. The design for the new Northview Elementary is notable for being an early example of sustainability and how it incorporates a ground source heat pump system and other green design approaches. The project was honored as an Outstanding Building in the annual school design competition sponsored by American School & University magazine.
