For the replacement of its antiquated facilities, the Linn County Ambulance District turned to WSKF Architects for our expertise in public safety design. The new facility functions as a district headquarters, dispatch facility and EMS station. It includes three drive through bays, five bunkrooms, showers, kitchen and dayroom, medical supplies and other storage and an 1,100-square-foot training room. One of the notable features of the project is the use of concrete masonry form units, which make the station structurally more durable and improve insulation from the elements at an economical price. The station has added measurably to the district’s ability to provide emergency medical services in the north-central Missouri region.
