WSKF Architects Designs New Northland Scout Shop

WSKF Architects provided design services for the Northland Scout Shop opened in Kansas City earlier this spring by the Heart of America Council.

Located at 345 NW Barry Road just south of Metro North Mall, the 3,700-sq.-ft. shop gives the Council its second shop in metro Kansas City and a new Northland location for Scouting families. The retail shop provides a full selection of Scouting uniforms, accessories, books and other material.

“We are glad to have had the opportunity to play a role in helping the Heart of America Council open this new Northland location and help spread the message of Scouting more broadly in metro Kansas City,” says John Freshnock, the WSKF principal who led work on the store.

John Freshnock has volunteered as an adult Scout leader for several years. He is a district member at large with the Pioneer Trails District (Kansas City, Mo.) and troop committee chairman with Troop 16 in Kansas City, Mo.
