Volunteer Efforts Make a Difference for Good Samaritan Center

Through WSKF Architect’s longtime work and involvement in Excelsior Springs, we have come to know the tremendous difference the Good Samaritan Center makes in Excelsior Springs and a dozen rural communities across Clay and Ray counties. Since the Center’s founding in 1986, the staff has expanded services to include housing, a food pantry, help with utilities, transportation and medical needs and so much more.

As part of a 2010 WSKF volunteer work day, our principals and employees turned out to help renovate the Center’s food pantry and paint the multipurpose/dining room. With dozens of new families in need coming to the center each month, WSKF Architects and our employees also answered a call for donations for food and personal hygiene items. We delivered more than 120 pounds of donated goods.

Responding to the need for a new entrance, WSKF recently donated its services to design a new entrance and ramp for the main entry.
