Corona Elementary School

The Los Angeles Unified School District Corona New Primary School provides educational classroom space for 400 students ranging from Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Constrained by the 1.25-acre site, the 55,132 square foot, two-story design provides first and second floor classroom space and underground parking for staff. In addition to the 16 classrooms, the new school provides for small group instruction, library, nurse, multi-purpose, kitchen with lunch shelter and administrative/staff space. Immediately adjacent to the site is the Ernest Debs Public Park that provides shared recreational use including tot/lot sandbox play, a soccer field, basketball/hard surface play and a gazebo shelter.
